Time Switches are used to automate functions according to the time and day of the week.  They can be set to a recurring schedule on specific dates and times, for a specific duration e.g. every Tuesday from 6-7pm for the entire year.  These time switches can be set and scheduled much in the same way as Microsoft Outlook calendar appointments can be created.

 

Note:  Time Switch types are hard coded so the user can only choose from the selection provided.

 

Procedure

  1. From the Sysnet Toolbar click on the Utilities icon
  2. Click on the <TIMESWITCHES> tab  
  3. Click on the <ADD> button
  4. Enter a DESCRIPTION for the time switch
  5. Select the TIME SWITCH TYPE from the dropdown
  6. Enter the DURATION in minutes and START TIME
  7. Select the Day(s) of the week which apply to this time switch
  8. Press <ADD> to select additional information (if applicable - depends on time switch type selected)
  9. Clicking on the <ADVANCED SCHEDULE> button displays the scheduling and recurring options if required
  10. Click <OK> to complete the time switch set up
  11. Highlighting the time switch in the LIST will display the details at the bottom of the window
