What it Does

General Settings

Clear Duplicate Transactions

The server will clear all duplicate transactions from the system.  Left unchecked, duplicate transactions are gathered as unprocessed trans and can be viewed in Audit Trail.

 

Auto Start TransServer with ComServer

Transaction Server will automatically open when the Communication Server is started

 

Write Clerk Log

Generates information for the hours worked screen in Users

 

Write WET Retail Tax

Used for specific clients for calculating WET from retail

 

Log events written as Clock

When set, all log on and off events at POS are written as Clock on and Off events.

 

Strip Leading Zeros from Swipes and Scans

When selected Com Server will remove all leading zeroes from member cards when swiped at a Versaterm.  This may be required for some Member Interfaces/Card numbering systems

 

Print Merlin Promotions

Member transactions will print a special member offer from Merlin

 

Logging Level

Indicates the amount of logging that is output to the log file by Trans Server or POS Controller.  This defaults to Info to indicate a reduced size log file but can be set to full logging for diagnostic purposes

 

Time Switch Refresh Freq.

Indicates how often Trans Server/POS Controller checks for time switch updates.  Defaults to Minutely for accuracy but can be reduced to improve performance of the server.

 

 

  

Time Sales

Time Sales by PLU

Must be enabled for the Time Sales PLU report to include data

 

Time Sales by Tender

Must be enabled for the Time Sales Tender report to include data

 

Record user in Time Sale by Tender

Will break the Time Sales Tender report down further by User

 

Time Sales by User

Must be enabled to report on User sales by Time

 

 

 

Notification Server

Multicast Group

The Multicast IP Address to broadcast notification messages to

 

Multicast Port

The Multicast Port number where notification messages are broadcasted to

 

 

 

Card Mask

 

Used to specify the number of digits identified by the card reader at POS.  To identify the TRACK 1 magnetic stripe reader, place '%' at the beginning of the mask.  Each digit in the mask is marked with a capital 'X'

 

 

 

Versaterm Settings

Auto Download on Reset

Select if the Versaterms are set to function online with Sysnet Server.  They will automatically download when reset provided the Com Server is running.

 

Self Link all Search Keys

Allows multiple selections in a search group before exiting.

 

Auto Receipt Print on Wastage

Prints receipts automatically when finalising Wastage sales

 

Record Voided Items

Tracks all Cancel Item and Cancel Sales to Audit Trail

 

Versaterm % Discount using Price Levels

Lets the Versaterm use a virtual price level to change the sale price for products.  The benefit is when an item is discounted the price is adjusted and the GST reported correctly for the individual discounted items

 

Verify Balance on Account Sales

The Versaterm can check Account Balances and Credit Limits before processing a sale

 

User Clock/Break keys require card swipe

Forces the user to swipe their card to use the Clock/Break keys

 

Don't print tender report on Till Read

If selected an X or Y-Read on a Versaterm POS terminal will print the tenders report in addition to the Read Report

 

Show Member Expiry on Points Enquiry

A member's expiry date will be displayed along with their name when a points enquiry is performed to the interface.

 

Factor Barcodes use highest PLU No

A scanned barcode will use the highest available PLU associated to it if there is more than one.  Otherwise the lowest PLU will be used instead.

 

 

 

Default Firmware File

 

The address of the default file used for the Versaterm firmware.  The file is used to keep the Versaterm up to date.

 

ECM Password

Password for the ECM (if applicable)

 

 

 

Closing Stock

Writes to PLU #

Used in conjunction with the Closing Stock function at POS.  All closing stock is recorded against the PLU number entered here.

 

 

 

Printing

RTF Printing Enabled

Allows printing in Rich Text Format.  Often desirable for X-Reads and other reports

 

Lock Sysnet database

The Sysnet Database will be locked and no upgrades can be performed until unlocked by disabling this checkbox.

 

 

 

Sales Export Interface

Output all sales to:

Signifies the interface that sales will be exported to.  Options are Zen Global and Worldsmart

 

 

 

Deposit

Write to PLU #

Specify the PLU for tracking bottle deposits - primarily used by the Canada market

 

 

 

Stored Value - Card Fee

Write to PLU #

Indicates the PLU number that card fees are assigned to in the stored value interface

 

 

 

Vector POS

Write to PLU #

Set the PLU for unknown items in the Vector POS interface

 

 

 

Stored Value Interface

 

Indicates the third party interface that stored value transactions are sent to

 

 

 

Deleted Event Quote Status

 

Indicates the status that is applied to quotations assigned to a deleted event

 

 

 

Sysnet Auto Update

 

An auto update service that updates applications across the local network to workstations and POS machines from a designated repository.  As new versions are released they only need updating in the repository rather than copied to every PC in the venue.
