What it does

Guest Interfaces

Interface Type

Select the accommodation interface from the dropdown list which will be integrating to Sysnet.  Sysnet integrates to RMS, Motelier, Hirum, Charts, Fidelio,(Opera), Protel, Ease Hotel, CMH and H&L XML.

 

Send Non Guest Sales to Guest System

Will allow all transactions to be sent through the guest interface regardless of whether they involve a guest charge.  This feature is only available for selected interfaces and this will be noted in the specific documentation.

 

Send Tax info to Guest System

Tax information of items is sent to the guest system when uploading transactions

 

Send Tenders instead of Tender Groups

Actual tender information is sent to the guest system instead of totals by tender group

 

Enable KCS Interface

Allows the transfer of information to the KCS Software system

 

Charts Account #

Enter the Debtor Account number used for the Charts interface.  This interface uses the Debtor account for tracking, as sales are charged to this debtor the user is prompted for a room number to bring up the guest details.  Charges are sent to the guest room when the transaction is completed

 

No of Groups to Export

Used by the Guest interface to determine the level of detail in the export of sales figures for the interface.  This is used in conjunction with the Guest Group Codes

 

Group Totals by

Determines how the data should be grouped when exporting

 

Service Charge PLU #

Used by selected interfaces e.g. Fidelio Opera to record service charges such as Room Service

 

Room Service Station #

Set the station (till) to be used for room service charges.  

 

Max Guest Trans No (P#)

The maximum number of transactions to be sent at one time

 

 

 

Guest Server

IP Address or Name

The network address or name of the computer that acts as the server for the Guest software

 

Port No

The port number for other computers on the network to connect to the Guest Server PC

 

Sinch Port No

The TCP port number that Sinch will use to connect to the Guest Server

 

 

 

Guest Charge Logging

Print Guest Log for all Guest Charges

All Guest charges will be printed

 

Guest Charge Printer

Select the printer where the guest charges will be sent for printing

 

Guest Groups 1 - 9

Guest groups determine how the data is passed to the Guest interface.  Check the supporting guest interface document to determine how many groups the interface will allow.

 

 

 

RMS/Motelier Interfaces

File Name

This is the filename of the file that is updated when transactions are charged to the RMS or Motelier guest software interfaces.  The file is in .csv format.

 

File Path

The location of the .csv file that is updated when transactions are charged to the RMS or Motelier interfaces

 

RMS File Position

Indicates where in the daily RMS file the read process is currently up to.  WARNING:  this field is not to be adjusted without guidance from H&L.  Adjusting this field can have serious repercussions on the operation of the RMS Guest interfaces.

 

Use Old Format Motelier Guest File

The format of the Motelier guest file was changed for Sysnet 6.3.  This setting allows the user to revert to the older style if required.

 

Use Guest Description for RMS Guest File

If this option is turned on, guest transactions are grouped by guest name rather than by ID when uploaded to the RMS file based guest interface.

Itemised Table Payments

Sales are sent to the guest interface grouped by guest group rather than lumped together

 

Use <EOT> to mark end of packets

When enabled this will add an <EOT> string to the end of each request/response to the Guest server to indicate when the transmission is complete
