
Procedure
- From the Sysnet
Toolbar click on the Utilities icon
- Click on the <KEYBOARDS>
tab
- Highlight the desired Versaterm keyboard
from the list
- Double click on the KEYBOARD
NAME to open it
- Find an available key and double click to
edit
- Choose the KEY
TYPE e.g. Fast PLU or Group Search
- Enter the PLU Number or PLU Group in the
KEY DATA field or use the
dropdown to search if unsure
- Enter the CAPTION for the key
- Choose the FONTS,
SIZE and COLOUR THEMES
as required
- Select the KEY
SECURITY for this key (if required)
- Press <OK>
once all key configuration is complete
- Repeat to program any additional keys on
the top level
- Remember to click <SAVE>
to save the keyboard changes
- Enable the "Show
Descriptions" checkbox to see PLU Descriptions on the
keyboard rather than PLU or Group Number
- Click on the <PRINT>
button to preview the keyboard layout
- Use the TOP button to move to the bottom
level of the keyboard so items can be programmed on the second level
if necessary
- Follow steps 5 - 11 to program keys as required
- Remember to <SAVE>
all keyboard changes
- Click <PRINT>
to view the finished product and print a hard copy
Other Hints
- Cut, Copy and Paste functions can be used to move
or copy details between keys, top/bottom level or keyboards
- Keyboard shortcuts can also be used for Cut (CRTL
+ X), Copy (CTRL + C) and Paste (CTRL + V)
- The PADLOCK
icon is used to lock base keys in place (generally function keys,
finalisers etc.) which means they are locked and cannot be edited
until unlocked
