The User Messaging tool is a feature to communicate with other staff members in the venue. Messages are created from the User Application and can be sent to individual or multiple users in the venue. Messages can be sent by:
Messages are delivered to the User when they log onto the Exceed terminal or any Back of House application such as Stock. The message sender can also nominate the PRIORITY LEVEL of the message if they wish to force the user to read before proceeding:
Critical |
Message appears immediately upon logging into the application. Message must be marked as "Read" before the user can proceed |
High |
Message can be ignored maximum 3 times before it must be marked as "Read" to allow the user to proceed |
Low |
Can be ignored and no further prompts will appear. Will remain in the User Inbox as "Unread" |
Normal |
Default setting for all messages, can be ignored indefinitely |
This is an excellent tool to communicate information to employees such as meeting invitations, procedure changes, new menu tastings etc.
