To change a sales special once it has been activated, the user must essentially deactivate the promotion first.  

 

Procedure

  1. From the Sales Specials list double click on the promotion to open it
  2. Change the END DATE to be "yesterday's" date i.e. a date prior to the day you are currently in, so the promotion is "expired"
  3. Press <OK> to return to the list
  4. Click on the <PROCESS SALES SPECIALS> button to deactivate the promotion
  5. The promotion is now available for editing
  6. Double click on the promotion again to edit the details

  • Highlight a product from the list and click on the <SET PRICE> button to alter the price (Hold CTRL key to select more than one item)

  • Highlight a product from the list and click on the <SET PRICE LEVEL> to alter the price level used

  • Use the function toolbar to save or delete records

  • Press the <ADD> button to add new products to the promotion

  • Once all changes are made, change the END DATE back to the correct date

  • Click <OK> to accept the changes

 

  1. Click on the <PROCESS SALES SPECIALS> button to reactivate the promotion
  2. Perform a <RESET & DOWNLOAD> on all Exceed terminals and a "Download Versaterm" on all Versaterms
