Bonus stock can be easily managed in Sysnet to ensure the cost saving is attributed correctly and ensure an accurate stock on hand level is achieved. Typically there are three different scenarios for receiving Bonus or Free stock and this will depend on how the venue prefers the cost saving or 'benefit' to be distributed.
A certain quantity of one product is purchased and the supplier sends extra of the same product as a bonus. In this case the stock is incremented by the total received (ordered + bonus) and the average and last cost of this item will be affected.
Example: 10 kegs are supplied plus one bonus keg of the same beer.
The supplier sends bonus stock without anything being purchased. The bonus stock is incremented and the average cost is affected only.
Example: A sales representative sends two cases of a new product for trial.
A certain quantity of product is purchased and the supplier sends "Bonus Stock" of a different product. All the stock received is incremented however the"Bonus Cost" is attributed back to the purchased products.
Example: 5 cases of Jim Beam 700ml are purchased and 2 "Bonus" cartons of 2L Coca Cola bottles are also received.
