This report works in conjunction with the Exceed System Option Setting "Capture Postcodes for all Sales".  When enabled, the Exceed operator is prompted to enter the customer's postcode prior to finalising every transaction.  The information is then tracked to the Sales by Postcode report.  This feature is only available for use with Exceed Point of Sale Terminals.

 

Setup Procedures

  1. From the Sysnet Toolbar click on the Utilities icon
  2. Click on the <SYSTEM OPTIONS> tab followed by the <PROCESSING/REPORTS> tab
  3. Ensure the "Store Detailed Sales Information" checkbox is enabled  
  4. Click on the <DEVICES> tab followed by the <CONFIG> tab
  5. Ensure the SYSTEM OPTIONS radio button is enabled and highlight the profile - click <EDIT>
  6. Select the Capture Postcodes for all Sales option under the GENERAL options then <SAVE & CLOSE>

Filtering the Report

The Sales by Postcode report can be filtered by:

  1. DATE BASED or PERIOD BASED - Using the selected date range or period based; using reporting for each period of trade (Day, Week, Month or Year)

  2. POSTCODE

  3. LOCATION - note that selecting more than one location will consolidate the data

  4. STATE - note that this will exclude country or region (at the time this document was written)

 

Reading the Report

This report is presented in two formats.  The first pages display the sales data collected.  This information is grouped by State, Country/Region and Unknown Sale/Country/Region
