PriceNames are created for each price that exists within the venue.  These are generally location specific but can also be used for promotional pricing such as Members and Happy Hours.

Price ID

A unique ID number generated by the system for the price name

Price Name

The description for the price name

Hide in Factor Grid

Enable this box to hide the price name from display in the factor grid.  Useful if an existing price name is no longer required but cannot be deleted due to historical data.

Site

Used in conjunction with Syswan, means the user can select which site the price name relates to.

Head Office Controlled

Used in conjunction with Syswan, when this box is enabled it means the price is controlled by Head Office and cannot be edited by the remote sites.  Disable this checkbox if the sites are able to edit prices.

Set Prices

Allows the user to indicate if prices will be set including or excluding taxes for this price name.  If neither option are selected the price name will use the "System Default"

Rounding Type

Allows the user to select the rounding type from the dropdown box:

Round Down

Round Nearest

Set Up To

Set Down To

Set Nearest

End up To

End Down To

End Nearest

If one of the options is not selected the system will default to "No Rounding"

Price Break

Set a figure for all the prices to round up to.  For instance, if the user might want to multiply by 1.2 and round up to the nearest 50 cents

Master Price

Select a master price to base the pricing on. Choose the master price from the dropdown list

Multiply By

Enter the multiplying factor for the formula.  For instance, to multiply by 10%, enter 1.1 or 1.05 for 5% increase in this field

Increment by

Enter the range to increment pricing by

Copy Prices from Another Price Name

This section is used when creating a new price name using prices from an existing price name.  Select the desired price name from the dropdown box and all prices will be copied from the selected price name to the new one.
